Do you need more information
The level of serum ferritin acts as an indicator of the quantities of iron in the human body. The drop in serum ferritin levels can indicate a deficiency prior to the appearance of iron deficiency anemia, enabling anticipated treatment. Measuring serum ferritin levels can also contribute to diagnosis of illnesses such as thalassemia and sideroblastic anemia, which are characterized by iron overload, and patient monitoring.
